Some specialties are chosen - as was the case with literature or cinema, which have always fascinated me - and others are built up a little by chance over time and missions - as was the case for law and medicine (to a lesser extent). In all cases, it is a question of allowing participants who speak different languages to communicate.

The wide range of knowledge and skills inherent in the profession of interpreter is certainly what I value most, as it encourages me to learn more and more and to expand my interests.

I have a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris-IV) and 300 days of experience as a conference interpreter in both simultaneous (with or without booth, with or without relay) and consecutive (with or without note-taking) modes, and I continue to train year after year.

TRAINED IN REMOTE INTERPRETING ON NUMEROUS PLATFORMS FOR ONLINE CONFERENCES

This new modality requires new skills and practice. I am able to offer my customers professional remote simultaneous interpreting services from a wide range of platforms, whether from my office, a studio or at the conference venue, depending on the situation​.

AREAS OF INTERPRETATION

INTERNATIONAL

I have already had the opportunity to work in numerous conferences sponsored by international organizations such as the FALP, the FIFCJ, the GAFI-GAFILAT, the ILO, ParlAméricas, the OECD and even the CIPDH (UN), mainly in Argentina and France.

Thus, for example, I had the opportunity to interpret the President of the Republic of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos, the President of the Republic of Argentina Mauricio Macri and the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Evo Morales. 

I also dealt with issues such as child labor, relations between Argentina and Africa, women's rights, peripheral cities, etc. mujeres, las ciudades periféricas, etc.

LITERATURE

In this area, the services I offer include interviews by literary journalists and writer discussions—for luminaries like Valérie Mréjen, Jean Échenoz and Michel Houellebecq–discussions between authors and illustrators of children’s books, workshops and conferences by scriptwriters and comic strip artists at festivals like Comicópolis and Viñetas sueltas, and even talks on the trade of publishing today given by major publishers at a conference.

I have also interpreted for post-performance theater talks and for classes for actors given over several months.

As a graduate in Comparative Literature (a European Master’s) from the Sorbonne Paris-IV university, interpreting for poets, novelists, playwrights, comic book artists and authors in general is a fusion of two of my passions.

FILM

Besides being another passion of mine, film was my minor at college. I took a class in English on film analysis, aesthetics, theory and history, and was a film professor for high school students as part of the nation-wide French program “Lycéens et apprentis au cinéma” (Film students and apprentices) where each student produced a short film at the end of the year.

As an interpreter, I am involved in the annual French film festival Les Avant-premières. I have interpreted during the director presentations at film premiers for different entities like the Argentine Film Directors Association (DAC) and for masterclasses organized by culture magazines like Los Inrockuptibles. I also had the opportunity to interpret at the Moroccan film festival Latinarab.

MEDICINE

This is an area of expertise that I built up over time, the result of a curiosity that stems from my family environment and from my studies.

I have completed annual seminars on inflammatory bowel disease, regular courses on biological decoding, and psychology colloquiums on adolescents and other individuals with clinical signs of autism, among others.

LAW

This is my final area of expertise and can be attributed to my experience working at colloquiums, lunches among ministers, seminars, etc. organized by the Sorbonne Paris-1 university, the Public Tax Ministry of the City of Buenos Aires, the Argentine National Congress, the Universidad de Buenos Aires Law School, the Latin American Union of Inspection Authority Workers, and the Argentine Ministry of Defense and Labor Ministry. The topics I have dealt with in this area include children’s rights, digital law, labor law, and the rights of people with disabilities.

OTHER AREAS

Finally, I have also worked as an interpreter and translator at business forums, working with agribusinesses and bread makers and covering a range of topics such as mutual societies, farming technologies, education, etc.
